ಙ — Letter (ṅa)

• English sound anchor: sing (the 'ng' sound)

• Kannada words:
• ಅಂಗ ('aṃga') — Body part / Limb
• ರಂಗ ('raṃga') — Colour / Stage
• ತಂಗಿ ('taṃgi') — Younger sister

Half Letter ಙ್ (ṅa halant)

Adding the virama (್) below ಙ creates the half letter ಙ್ — it silences the inherent 'a' and allows this consonant to join the next one directly.

The halant form ಙ್ appears in conjunct consonants and cluster words.
