Pre-Energization Safety Checks

Before energizing a PV system, perform structured checks to reduce the risk of faults, equipment damage, and shock hazards.

Examples of pre-energization checks

  • Visual inspection of wiring routes, terminations, and labeling
  • Confirm disconnects and breakers are correctly installed
  • Verify bonding/grounding is complete
  • Confirm polarity and string configuration (as applicable)
  • Ensure enclosures are closed and hardware is secure
