Medical assistants are one of the fastest-growing occupations (+20% through 2034) and a critical entry point to the healthcare workforce. The CMA (AAMA) and RMA (AMT) credential exams validate competency in both the clinical and administrative functions of the medical assistant role. This course covers three exam domains: General Knowledge (anatomy, medical terminology, psychology, nutrition), Administrative Knowledge (scheduling, medical records, insurance coding and billing), and Clinical Knowledge (asepsis, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, pharmacology, patient preparation, clinical procedures). Practice questions are scenario-based and written to match the cognitive level of both the AAMA and AMT exams.
